Mia Anderson

Junior Board Committee Chair

As a survivor of domestic violence, Mia strives to work with young girls and women to achieve their utmost potential.  She currently holds a position at the Heartland Alliance Outreach as a Mental Health Worker where she supports individuals who suffer from severe mental illness and substance use disorders.  Mia volunteers on the Junior Associate Board of the non-profit Connections for Abused Women and Their Children (CAWC).

Mia also volunteers as the Junior Board Committee Chair at In Her Shoes Foundation.  She strongly believes in the IHSF mission because providing young girls and women with inspiration, building confidence and determination means a better world for everyone.

Mia earned her Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is working towards a Masters in Clinical Psychology.
